Filter
The special design of the NOVA filter causes the two-sided intake of air while simultaneously introducing them into the symmetrical whirl motion characteristic of the cyclone filtration. The centrifugal force separates heavier fat molecules from the air, where they are then directed gravitationally to drains located at the bottom of the filter.
NOVA filters are equipped with an easily removable second degree of filtration in the form of an additional progressive mesh filter. Clean air can be directed directly at heat recovery in heat exchangers located in ventilation units, generating significant operating savings for the entire catering facility.
Main features
- Very high filtration efficiency
- Removable Second Filtration Stage
- Possibility to wash both filter steps together or separately
- Filters mounted at an angle – preventing the accumulation of fat inside the filter
Very high filtration efficiency
Total filtration efficacy of min. 99% for 6 μm particle, 87% for 4 μm particle and 73% for 3 μm particle with constant air flow resistance of max 120 Pa. Effectiveness confirmed by tests performed by an independent DMT GmbH & Co laboratory. KG in Essen based on VDI 2052-1:1999-09. Filters fitted for the purpose of draining separated fat particles to prevent fat accumulation inside the filter. Filters suitable for washing in food dishwashers.
Removable Second Filtration Stage
The second filtration stage, in the form of a progressive mesh filter, is mounted directly on the cylindrical multicyclone filter to limit the dirty surface area and minimize the amount of grease entering the exhaust chambers of hoods in cases where the second filtration stage is installed directly under the hood’s exhaust spigot.
Possibility to wash both filter steps together or separately
Both the cylindrical multicyclone filter and the second stage progressive mesh filter are made entirely of AISI 304 stainless steel and are suitable for washing in commercial dishwashers. The filters can be washed together or separately.
Filters mounted at an angle – preventing the accumulation of fat inside the filter
The filter assembly uses gravity drainage of separated grease from vapors outside the filter to tanks installed under the exhaust chambers of hoods. This solution increases hygiene levels and reduces fire risk compared to other types of filters that accumulate grease directly inside after it has been separated from vapors.
